Judge Sides With Trump Admin On Identification Rules For Illegal Immigrants Authored by Naveen Athrappully via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),A federal judge has allowed the Trump administration to enforce identification requirements for immigrants present in the United States illegally. In a ruling on Thursday, Judge Trevor Neil McFadden said that a rule by the Department of Homeland Security to require illegal immigrants to comply with statutory registration and fingerprinting may move forward as plaintiffs arguing against it failed to “demonstrate that they have standing to bring this suit.”The case was filed on March 31 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington, with the main plaintiff being the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, along with other immigrant advocacy groups. On Jan. 20, when President Donald Trump took office for the second time, he issued an executive order, “Protecting the American People Against Invasion,” in which he stated that illegal immigrants must be identified and registered with the federal government.Following his order, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Feb. 25 that the DHS would fully enforce the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), under which illegal immigrants will be tracked and compelled to leave the country voluntarily.Criminal penalties will be imposed on those failing to leave the country, failing to register their identities with the federal government and be fingerprinted, or failing to inform authorities of a change in address.“An alien’s failure to register is a crime that could result in a fine, imprisonment, or both. For decades, this law has been ignored—not anymore,” said the DHS announcement, referring to the Alien Registration Act, which was first enacted by Congress in 1940.The registration requirement is set to be effective from April 11, 2025.According to the alien registration requirement, all illegal immigrants 14 years and older who were not registered and fingerprinted when applying for a U.S. visa, and who remain in the United States for 30 days or longer, must apply for registration and fingerprinting. The INA requires that all “parents and legal guardians of aliens below the age of 14 must ensure that those aliens are registered.”Registered illegal immigrants over the age of 18 must carry proof of registration with them at all times, according to the rule.“Failure to comply may result in criminal and civil penalties, up to and including misdemeanor prosecution, the imposition of fines, and incarceration.”The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website states that, as part of enabling the requirement, the government has established a new form—G-325R, Biometric Information (Registration)—and an online process “by which unregistered aliens may register and comply with the law.”In its lawsuit, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights argued that the DHS rule “reverses the government’s long-standing approach to registration ... in a manner that will cause confusion, fear, and significant economic disruption.“Defendants attempt to rush through these sweeping changes without any meaningful explanation for the change in policy and without the notice, public comment, and careful consideration that Congress requires to avoid exactly these types of harms.”The plaintiffs requested a stay of the rule.McFadden ruled that the plaintiffs failed to establish standing on an organizational level and on behalf of the organization’s members. The coalition’s “injuries are highly speculative, sounding in prospective fears about what might happen when the rule takes effect,” he said. The organization has also failed to demonstrate how a “mere requirement to abide by the law” constitutes a concrete injury. The plaintiffs argued that this “compelled admission” regarding their members’ immigration status violates the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.In response, McFadden said that the coalition had failed to “demonstrate that any of their members would actually be subject to criminal prosecution based on their answers to Form G-325R.”Meanwhile, according to the DHS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement made 32,809 arrests in the first 50 days of the Trump administration, a number that almost equaled the total arrests made in fiscal year 2024.The DHS said in a post on social media platform X on April 9: “Illegal aliens should use the CBP Home app to self-deport and leave the country now. If they don’t, they will face the consequences. This includes a fine of $998 per day for every day that the illegal alien overstayed their final deportation order.”The Epoch Times reached out to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights for comment. "We Are Now A Global Destabilizer": Larry Fink Stunned By Trump Tariffs Speaking after BlackRock's Q1 earnings report on a call with Wall Street analysts, CEO Larry Fink said he was troubled by the size of President Trump's tariff war with China. "The sweeping US tariff announcements went beyond anything I could have imagined in my 49 years in finance," Fink told analysts. As of Friday morning, Beijing retaliated against President Trump's tariffs by hiking levies on U.S. goods to 125%, up from the prior 84%. The retaliation came a day after Trump hit China with an effective tariff rate of 145% as both the U.S. and China are locked in a heated, once-in-a-century trade war. "This isn't Wall Street versus Main Street," Fink emphasized, adding, "The market downturn impacts millions of ordinary people's retirement savings."The good news: Two days earlier, Trump announced a 90-day suspension of additional country-specific tariffs for countries that have refrained from taking retaliatory measures—an apparent attempt to isolate China and use tariffs to get Beijing to strike a trade deal. "Yes, in the short run, we have an economy that is at risk," Fink said, but noted that artificial intelligence and rising infrastructure demand present "transformative investment opportunities."After the earnings call, Fink joined CNBC, where the globalist voiced even more concerns...BlackRock CEO Larry Fink is in full panic mode over Trump’s new tariffs, warning they’re shaking global markets and pushing the U.S. toward deeper economic trouble. He says the U.S. has gone from being a global stabilizer to a destabilizer under Trump’s leadership.Fink also... pic.twitter.com/j5bBa8aqtU— Shadow of Ezra (@ShadowofEzra) April 11, 2025Yet Trump’s trade war is fundamentally about reviving America’s hollowed-out manufacturing base. Naturally, reshaping global supply chains will come with disruptions. To end the week, there are no indications that either China or the U.S. is willing to sit down and resolve trade disputes, while new evidence mounts that dislocations in global trade have begun to emerge:Amazon Cancels Orders, Walmart Pulls Forecast As Tariffs Take HoldChinese Sellers On Amazon Panic After Trump's Tariff BazookaTesla Quietly Removes Model S/X "Order Now" Button From Chinese SiteSeparately, HSBC Head EM strategist Alastair Pinder and the legendary Matt King (formerly Citi's top strategist who correctly called the Lehman collapse) debated on ZeroHedge on Thursday night with warnings about the incoming economic fallout from the trade war... Continuing on the theme of global trade disruptions, Goldman analysts Dominic Wilson and Vickie Chang provided clients earlier with a note titled: Too Early for the "All Clear" that highlighted four downside risks for markets:Substantial tariffs remain in place and the outcome even as it stands today looks considerably hawkish than was expected ahead of April 2. A simple thought experiment is to imagine that the current outcome—a 10% across the board tariff, a more than 100% China tariff, potential sectoral tariffs and large reciprocal tariffs to be implemented after a 90-day pause—had been announced. The implied roughly 15pp overall effective tariff rate increase would still have been a significant negative surprise to markets and its impact is still likely to be meaningful without further changes. While the pause to reciprocal tariffs reduces some key tail risks, policy uncertainty remains very high, and businesses and consumers are likely to continue to be wary of making long-term commitments when the path of policy going forward remains very unclear.Allocators are also likely to remain worried about the institutional and policy uncertainties that have led them to question their historic overweight in U.S. assets, while the recent price action has highlighted the risks both to longer-dated Treasury holdings and to the potential for simultaneous declines in U.S. equities and the USD that are especially painful for unhedged overseas investors. With some of the financial stress risk receding that often ultimately works to push the USD stronger (the left edge of the "dollar smile"), we think the case for ongoing USD weakness is intact, if not clearer. The turmoil has revealed some cracks in the ability of the market to function effectively in the face of these kinds of large shocks. Confidence that Treasuries will provide an effective "safe haven" in periods of extreme risk is likely to have been dented and the back end of the UST curve could remain fragile. What's clear is that global trade disruptions are emerging, and this risk suggests to Goldman analysts that it's still too early to give the "all clear" for markets. As we were the first to warn this week - all eyes are on the Basis Trade blowing up (read here & here). Tyler DurdenFri, 04/11/2025 - 10:45

In Verse Piece, Swords have been at the top of both the PvP and PvE meta for a while. So, to stay competitive, you want to have the best Sword you can. With that in mind, we prepared the following guide on how to get the Emiya Sword in Verse Piece.Table of ContentsVerse Piece Emiya Sword ShowcaseHow to Get the Emiya Sword in Verse PieceHow to Get Kanshou, Bakuya, and the Hero of Wrought TitleHow to Get the Trace On AbilityEnhancing the Emiya Sword in Verse PieceVerse Piece Emiya Sword ShowcaseEmiya M1 comboEmiya Z-move (101,000)Emiya X-move (55,200)Emiya C-move (68,500)Emiya V-move (74,800)The Emiya Sword deals a lot of burst damage because all of its moves have relatively quick animations. Damage-wise, Emiya is similar to Rowan and Lancer, which are two of the best Swords in Verse Piece. However, as of the time of this guide, Emiya's F move has yet to be added to the game. It is safe to say that Emiya may become the Sword with the highest damage in the future. How to Get the Emiya Sword in Verse PieceThe Emiya NPC is located on the Lost Isle. You can get the Emiya Sword in Verse Piece by interacting with the Emiya NPC on the Lost Isle. However, you need to have the following before you do that: 10K Gems, Kanshou and Bakuya materials, Trace On ability, and the Hero of Wrought title. Most of these can be obtained by farming the Emiya Boss. How to Get Kanshou, Bakuya, and the Hero of Wrought TitleYou need 7,500 Gems and 10 Boss Tickets to spawn the Emiya Boss.Emiya Boss deals a lot of damage, so equip your best gear before you fight it.To get the Kanshou and Bakuya materials, as well as the Hero of Wrought title, you will have to defeat the spawnable Emiya Boss on the (???) island. Both Kanshou and Bakuya are rare drops from this Boss. The Hero of Wrought title automatically unlocks for you after you defeat the Emiya Boss 25 times. The Emiya Boss in Verse Piece also drops the Black Flash Haki color and the Champion Necklace equipment item. If you end up needing more Boss Tickets to spawn Emiya, make sure to sell excess Mythical materials at the Ticket Exchange NPC on Bleach Island. Both Kanshou and Bakuya drop from the Emiya Boss. The Hero of Wrought title is excellent for maximizing the DPS of your sword. How to Get the Trace On AbilityTrace On is a rare Exotic-tier ability. You can get the Trace On ability in Verse Piece by using the Ability Reroll material to roll for it. However, the Trace On ability can be tricky to get, as it is an Exotic-tier ability. In general, the base drop chance of Exotic-tier abilities in Verse Piece is 0.25%. If you end up needing more Ability Rerolls, consider either fishing or trading with others for them.Enhancing the Emiya Sword in Verse PieceEnhancing the Emiya Sword to +5 will drastically improve its DPS.To enhance the Emiya Sword in Verse Piece, head to the Blacksmith Isle and interact with the Blacksmith NPC while you have Emiya equipped. Each try at enhancing a Sword in Verse Piece costs you one Enhance Stone, and there is only a 10% chance of it being successful. So, on average, you need around ~50 Enhance Stones to fully upgrade a Sword. The Enhance Stones are relatively easy to get as they drop from most Chests and while fishing. That concludes our guide on how to get the Emiya Sword in Verse Piece. If you are looking to take Emiya's damage to the next level, then make sure to check out our Verse Piece traits, race, and accessory guides as well. The post Verse Piece: Emiya Sword Showcase & How to Get It appeared first on Destructoid.

The result is a compelling gameplay loop that also has a surprisingly resonant story at its core. See at Xbox Store AvowedFollowing a dip into sci-fi with The Outer Worlds, Obsidian's return to an RPG fantasy setting is one of this year's biggest surprises. Set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, you play as a godlike--one who has been touched by a god leaving you marked in a way that's visually distinct to everyone around you. Your journey through the Living Lands makes a point to streamline some classic RPG systems, while giving you an incredible amount of flexibility in others. Combat is a particular standout, as you can mix and match just about any variety of weapons and abilities, and easily respec to experiment with new combinations. BalatroBalatro was a breakout release last year--in fact, it was one of our favorite games of 2024--and the one-more-round roguelike poker game has only gotten better with subsequent updates. It's now available on Xbox Game Pass, and came alongside a new Friends of Jimbo pack that lets you change the face cards to crossovers with games like Civilization VII, Assassin's Creed, Fallout, Bugsnax, and more. If you've never caught up with the incredibly compelling and clever game, now is the time. Blue PrinceYou've never played a game quite like Blue Prince. The first-person puzzle game has you exploring an empty mansion, but this particular manor house has a special quality: It's never the same from day to day, as the rooms appear as you "draft" them from a selection whenever you come to a door. The ultimate goal is to explore the mansion and reach the hidden Room 46, but the game's many puzzles and mysteries unfold and interlock in ways that feel constantly enthralling. And since it's on Game Pass, it's easy to recommend with your existing subscription. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6The Call of Duty series has been among the top sellers for years, but some CoD games are clearly better than others. This year's iteration, Black Ops 6, is the best the series has been in some time, and the first time that a new Call of Duty game has been available on Game Pass at launch. The campaign is a smart and varied action spectacle that keeps you on your toes as it explores paranoid thriller tropes set against global events in the 1990s. Meanwhile, the multiplayer's new omni-movement makes matches feel fast and fluid, especially with the addition of inventive new maps that let you explore the space in a variety of ways. A revision to the perks system helps you specialize in interesting ways. Call of Duty has earned its reputation for a reason, and this latest release shows why.Read our Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign review and multiplayer review. See at Amazon The Case of the Golden IdolA logic puzzle game wrapped in a mind-twisting mystery, The Case of the Golden Idol has you solving a series of British murders by carefully inspecting dossiers and the environment to find inconsistencies. The inventive puzzle mechanic has you filling in missing words to solve the riddles. Xbox Game Pass has the full base game, but if you're itching for even more mysteries to solve there are extra Golden Idol Mysteries you can purchase as DLC. See at Xbox Store Creatures of AvaLots of games revolve around learning about strange creatures, but more often than not you're either beating them up or capturing them to have them beat each other up. That's not the case with Creatures of Ava, a story-rich adventure game that takes your role as a scientist and protector seriously. As you explore the alien landscape you'll have to protect yourself from aggressive fauna, but you do it with a creative take on combat that makes it family-friendly and humane. The world is rich with diverse biomes to explore and creatures to discover, and it's an easy recommendation for parents to enjoy with their kids. See at Xbox Store CelesteAn impeccably crafted indie platformer, Celeste is known for its tough-but-fair difficulty and surprisingly emotionally engaging story. As you climb the mountain you'll come face to face with devilish platforming challenges that will test your skill, all while discovering a subtle story of self-discovery and overcoming depression. It has a stellar 94 score on Metacritic, so don't sleep on this one. And don't worry if you aren't a platforming pro, as Celeste has a full suite of difficulty modifiers that let you experience the climb on your own terms.Read our Celeste review. See at Xbox Store Chants of SennaarA puzzle game built around communication, Chants of Sennaar approximates the feeling of slowly learning a new language while immersed in a strange new culture. As you solve puzzles to unlock new parts of these fictitious languages, you start to recognize snippets of meaning in speech and writing, and it meticulously unlocks new avenues to learn even more and venture further. The whole experience is built around the mythical Tower of Babel, as you make your way through a massive structure with various peoples speaking different languages along the way. See at Xbox Store Diablo IVWhen Microsoft finalized its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, it seemed like only a matter of time before the studio's massive library started to come to Game Pass. We're still waiting on a lot of the catalog, but it started with a big one. The latest in the beloved dungeon-crawling RPG series Diablo, Diablo IV, lets you delve into the deep and macabre world of Sanctuary to protect it from Lillith, the demon mother. With deep and immersive character building and a regular cadence of seasonal content to let you further expand your characters with new abilities, Diablo IV is not to be missed.Read our Diablo IV review. See at Xbox Store Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred HeroesA spiritual successor to the beloved PS1-era Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicles was the latest in a long line of game creators using crowd-funding to revive their most famous works. In this case, it was Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama and the newly founded Rabbit & Bear Studios promising a new RPG with tons of characters to recruit and a high fantasy story of intrigue and warring kingdoms. The result is a real treat for Suikoden fans and RPG lovers more generally, with beautiful 2D artwork, a compelling story, and a neat base-building wrinkle. Sadly Murayama passed away shortly before release, making this his swan song. See at Xbox Store Forza Horizon 5Between its amazing visuals, myriad gameplay options, and bevy of content, Forza Horizon 5 is a racing game that anyone can enjoy. From a technical standpoint, it’s remarkable what the team at Playground Games achieved--everything from the meticulously detailed vehicle models to the lush virtual recreations of Mexico’s landscapes are visually engrossing.. Better yet, the gameplay is some of the best in the racing genre. Unlike the simulation-heavy Forza Motorsport line, the Forza Horizon series lean towards arcade racing, emphasizing player freedom in vast open worlds. Forza Horizon 5 doubles down on the philosophy, letting players focus on the type of experience they want--be that tense races against other players, single-player challenges and story content, or just chilling out and cruising the open road.Read our Forza Horizon 5 review. See at Xbox Store Forza MotorsportForza Motorsport goes back to the series' roots as a simulation track racer, with stunning recreations of high performance vehicles. Car progression and upgrades are streamlined enough for fans to understand, but with the ability to get your hands dirty under the hood with precise fine-tuning. See at Xbox Store Gears TacticsGears Tactics cleverly applies the aesthetic and atmosphere of the franchise to a tactics game. Despite being a totally different genre, Gears Tactics still feels like a natural addition to the iconic franchise thanks to sound mechanics and great level design. With a meaningful progression system, deep but approachable tactical encounters, and a number of great boss battles, Gears Tactics is a can’t-miss experience for Gears aficionados and strategy game fans alike.Read our Gears Tactics review. See at Xbox Store Halo: The Master Chief CollectionIf you’ve never played the Halo franchise before, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the perfect place to start. The Master Chief Collection comes with six Halo games, including remastered versions of the first two original Xbox entries. Halo features some of the very best single-player campaigns in the genre as well as extremely solid online multiplayer, at least after years of fixes and improvements. Back when the collection was originally released, the online multiplayer was spotty to say the least, but it has come a long way. Halo: The Master Chief Collection offers the best way to play some of the most heralded first-person shooters ever created.Read our Halo: The Master Chief Collection review. See at Xbox Store Hi-Fi RushHi-Fi Rush is a bright, popcorn animated adventure from the studio that brought you... The Evil Within? As surprising as that is, what may be even more impressive is that this is an absolute gem of a rhythm-action game. The original IP follows Chai, a good-hearted doofus who signs up for free cybernetic surgery and ends up with a Zune grafted into his chest. He comes out of the other side with the power to defeat corporate ne'er-do-wells to the gyrating beat of the world. It's like Elite Beat Agents mashed together with Devil May Cry.Read our Hi-Fi Rush review. See at Xbox Store Hollow Knight: Voidheart EditionEnchanting and utterly engrossing, Hollow Knight is one of the best metroidvanias ever made. Team Cherry’s adventure stars a nameless knight armed with a nail who explores a labyrinthine world known as Hallownest. With a gorgeous art style and an incredible amount of variation in the environments, Hollow Knight’s expansive world is a constant joy to explore. Challenging combat rewards those with patience and perseverance. Hollow Knight truly stands out in a fairly crowded genre. If you haven’t waded through Hallownest yet, now’s a great time to slay some insect ahead of the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong.Read our Hollow Knight review. See at Xbox Store Indiana Jones and the Great CircleMachineGames' take on Indiana Jones is a masterful take on the famous relic hunter. The action is a tightly designed clockwork of action, stealth, and immersive-sim elements that capture Indy's famous improvisational style. The story is rich and engaging and belongs right on the shelf next to some of Indy's other great adventures. And the character and worldbuilding are all top-notch, which helps to sell Troy Baker's take on the famous character popularized by actor Harrison Ford. It's the complete package, and a great reason to subscribe to Game Pass.Read our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle review. See at Amazon Manor LordsThough it's still in early access, Manor Lords has quickly gained a following as a deep and engrossing strategy game that encompasses several different types of strategy at once. You'll build a city with complex social and economic systems at play, as well as take part in huge tactical battles against rival lords. Building your civilization from almost nothing and helping it manage trials like an unforgiving winter is so satisfying, and the depth of the game is made even more impressive by it being the work of just one developer. See at Xbox Store MLB the Show 24Baseball is an annual spring tradition, and recently, so is MLB The Show on Game Pass. The sports franchise game from Sony's San Diego Studio hits Game Pass on release day every year, letting you feel the crack of the bat right as the baseball season starts. This year's iteration, MLB The Show 24, brings back its Storylines mode with a new set of documentary-style tales regarding the Negro Leagues, and for the first time, Road to the Show features women as playable characters. Though parts are in need of a refresh at this point, the total package is still a satisfying way to play America's pastime. Read our MLB The Show 24 review. See at Xbox Store Monster Hunter RiseMonster Hunter World introduced loads of new fans to the Monster Hunter series, which up to that point had a niche but enthusiastic audience in the West. That game spent some time on Game Pass, but it's since been removed and you can play the more recent Monster Hunter iteration instead. Rise borrows several quality-of-life improvements that made World such a success, and adds another one: the Wirebug, a new tool that lets you easily and quickly traverse the map by swinging through the wilderness. Monster Hunter Rise is an ideal entry point for franchise newcomers.Read our Monster Hunter Rise review. See at Xbox Store Neon WhiteA fast-paced first-person platformer, Neon White is a fresh take on competitive speedrunning. You'll have to master tight vertically-designed stages within a stylish afterlife setting, taking down enemies with panache along the way. The breakneck pace is unlike anything else, and it's easy to get lost for a long time promising yourself just one more run. See at Xbox Store Octopath Traveler 2Octopath Traveler was a daring new RPG concept from Square Enix in which the story was told non-sequentially, as you could play as any of eight protagonists in any order, experiencing their own unique stories. Octopath Traveler 2 improves upon its predecessor in every way, taking to heart critiques from the first game and making a standout RPG experience. The new cast of eight characters are well differentiated with skills both inside and outside of combat, and their distinct abilities create interesting puzzle scenarios for completing missions and side quests. The combat system is rich with possibilities, letting you leverage their strengths in satisfying ways. And the story ties the eight hero narratives together into a cohesive whole. If the first game was an experiment, this one is the proof of concept. See at Xbox Store Ori seriesBoth games in Moon Studios’ incredible Ori series are worth playing. Ori and the Blind Forest and its 2020 sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps are two of the best platformers available on Xbox. Both have stunning visuals and tell emotionally gripping stories that feed off of the atmosphere and well-drawn characters. While they are similar in terms of aesthetic and feel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is more action-oriented, whereas the Blind Forest largely focuses on platforming and exploration. The Will of the Wisps gives Ori new abilities that help them square off against daunting bosses. Both games are brilliant in their own right, and are must-play platformers on Xbox. You should play them in order to get the full emotional weight of the story.Read our Ori and Will of the Wisps review. See at Xbox Store Persona 3 ReloadPersona 3 was the game to really set the mold for where the series would go, essentially splitting the game in half. It's part dungeon-crawling, turn-based RPG and part social sim where you manage the life of a high-schooler who teams up with other kids to secretly combat monsters at night. Reload improves on the original version of the game in numerous ways, introducing quality-of-life features and improved visuals that make this the best-playing version of Persona 3 (even if it does lack some portions of content from prior versions). This is a substantial experience that will keep you hooked over its dozens of hours, with a great story, terrific music, incredibly slick-looking menus, and fun combat.See our Persona 3 Reload review. See at Xbox Store Pillars of Eternity 2: DeadfireThe first Pillars of Eternity was a thrilling study in old school RPG gameplay with a modern makeover, but its sequel outdoes the original in almost every way possible. See at Xbox Store Psychonauts 2It's safe to say that there's no game like Psychonauts 2 on the market, as Double Fine's return to the cult-classic world of Razputin Aquato and the titular psychic peacekeeping agency is an absolute mind-blast of imaginative design. See at Xbox Store Sea of ThievesA live-service game that's not all about the shooting, Sea of Thieves is Rare's quirky take on a pirate simulator. It's gone through a lot of iterations since it was first released in 2018, so nowadays it's a full-fledged pirate simulator. You can crew your ship and sail the high seas, plunder other ships, find hidden treasure, and even deal with otherworldly pirate ghosts. Read our Sea of Thieves review. See at Xbox Store Slay the SpireSlay the Spire marries deck-building with roguelike systems to create one of the best indies in recent years. Throughout your journey up the Spire, you square off against monsters, uncover treasures, and expand your deck of cards. Slay the Spire's card-based combat is easy to get the hang of but requires trial and error to find success. While you have to start back at the beginning each time you die, you gradually earn new cards, which help you advance further the next time. It’s an intoxicating loop that makes it easy to want to try “one more time” before putting down the controller. Each of Slay the Spire’s four playable characters have unique decks, adding a ton of incentive to brave the Spire for subsequent runs after the credits roll.Read our Slay the Spire review. See at Xbox Store South of Midnight Compulsion Games has repeatedly designed incredible worlds that are rich in atmosphere and intrigue, and South of Midnight is no exception. Set in the American Deep South and inspired by the myths told by the people who live there, South of Midnight encapsulates the sights, sounds, and culture of a place rarely explored in video games and doesn't shy away from delving into the community's hardships and traumas to weave together a fantastical and oftentimes chilling gothic horror tale. The whole experience is brought to life with superb voice acting and a poignant soundtrack, transforming otherwise ordinary moments of combat and platforming into a cinematic experience that's well-worth experiencing.Read our South of Midnight review. TunicTunic, the long-awaited adventure starring a fox with a sword, is more than just a great Zelda-like. While it harks back to old-school Zelda games in terms of not guiding players toward the objectives, Tunic has its own approach to creating mystery and intrigue. All throughout the world you'll find pages of an instruction manual--really does look like one that would've been packaged with a game in the early '90s--that you have to piece together to learn about the world around you. It does a wonderful job replicating the thrill of discovery found in early Zelda games. Tunic is much harder than Zelda games from a combat perspective, but overcoming each challenge feels like a great triumph. Plus, any combat pains you may have are made worthwhile by gorgeous world that is a joy to explore.Read our Tunic review. Maybe you're in a position where you suddenly need a new laptop to see you through the rest of the school year. Perhaps you've got a bigger tax return than expected and you want to treat yourself. Or it may be that you're a long-time Windows user and fancy a change. Whatever reason you might have for being interested in a MacBook Air, we've got another one. The M4 MacBook Air is back on sale for $949. That's $50 or five percent off. That deal is available for the sky blue and starlight colorways of Apple's laptop. But there's not terrible news if you prefer the midnight (black) look — that variant will run you just $5 more at $954. This deal is for the base model of the M4 MacBook Air. It's a 13-inch laptop with 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage. The M4 MacBook Air arrived several weeks ago and it instantly became our top picks for both the best MacBook overall and the best laptop for most people, supplanting the previous model in both categories. We gave it a score of 92 in our review. We appreciated the light and thin design, excellent keyboard and touchpad, fast performance and the terrific battery life. The 13-inch model we tested (and the one that's on sale here) ran for 18 hours and 15 minutes while playing HD video. Our only real qualms with the M4 MacBook Air are that it could use more ports and the display (while otherwise great) has a relatively paltry refresh rate of 60Hz. One of the best things about the M4 MacBook Air is that Apple actually lowered the starting price for this generation of the laptop to $999 from $1,099 for the M3. That's a very welcome change. The current $50 (or $45) discount makes things even sweeter. Check out our coverage of the best Apple deals for more discounts, and follow @EngadgetDeals on X for the latest tech deals and buying advice. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/deals/the-apple-m4-macbook-air-is-back-on-sale-for-50-off-143801604.html?src=rss
