As a result, we are pleased to share our first quarter operating results. The quarter represents a solid start to a new year and exciting opportunities for our future," said James P. Helt, ACNB Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer."We are pleased and excited to welcome Traditions Bancorp, Inc. shareholders, employees and customers to the ACNB family as we successfully completed our acquisition in the first quarter. In addition, at the close of the acquisition, three former Traditions directors, Eugene J, Draganosky, Elizabeth F. Carson and John M. Polli joined the Boards of Directors of ACNB Corporation and ACNB Bank. We believe this combination brings together organizations that are unified by a shared vision to banking to create an even stronger community bank and substantially enhance our presence in York and Lancaster counties."Mr. Helt continued, "We are cautiously optimistic for the remainder of 2025 in spite of the uncertain economic headwinds as a result of ongoing tariff turmoil. We are not only focused on the challenges, but also the exciting opportunities that lie ahead and are fully committed to the continued growth and profitability of ACNB Corporation and to enhancing long term shareholder value."Acquisition UpdateDuring the first quarter of 2025, ACNB acquired Traditions, holding company for Traditions Bank, York, Pennsylvania. Traditions was merged with and into a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACNB Corporation immediately followed by the merger of Traditions Bank with and into ACNB Bank effective February 1, 2025. With the proceeds from the sale, ACNB paid off $40.2 million of Federal Home Loan Bank ("FHLB") borrowings with a cost of 4.73% and invested the remainder of the proceeds into investment securities with a yield of 5.07%.ACNB's financial results for any periods ended prior to February 1, 2025 reflect ACNB on a standalone basis. Hogwarts Legacy For Switch 2 Is Not A Port Of The Switch Version

Avalanche Studios has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch 2 is a new build of the game with "next-generation assets" instead of using the Switch port as a foundation for development. However, this means there isn't a Switch 2 Edition upgrade pathway for players who already own the RPG on Switch, like there is with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Party Jamboree. On YouTube, Avalanche's VP of technology Rob Nelson explained that it wasn't an easy choice regarding how to bring Hogwarts Legacy to Switch 2. "So for Nintendo Switch 2, we had a decision to make whether we were going to do an up-port from Nintendo Switch or start with next-generation assets," Nelson said in the Creator's Voice video (seen below). "That was a difficult decision because the easy path would have been to do the up-port from Nintendo Switch. But we felt like we were able to create a better realization of our world by starting with the next-generation assets. And we're really happy that we were able to deliver that." While this should mean better visuals on Switch 2, the downside comes down to the apparent lack of an upgrade path for current owners of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch. For instance, Zelda: Breath of the Wild owners can pay $10 to upgrade to a prettier Switch 2 Edition. It looks like a brand-new, full-priced purchase of Hogwarts Legacy will be required on Switch 2. That said, there is a chance that the original Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy could get a performance boost on Switch 2.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Penn Badgley describes contact with ‘Gossip Girls' co-stars as ‘amicable silence'

Penn Badgley says he still feels “love” for his former “Gossip Girl” co-stars, even if they aren’t in constant contact with one another.“Between us all, I think it’s an amicable silence. Like when you have, you know, roommates from college, you’re like, ‘Man, we loved going to school together’ and then you grow up, you sort of go in different ways. But I think there’s just, yeah, it’s just love for them all,” Badgley, 38, told E! News at the Season 5 premiere of his Netflix thriller “You” on April 23.Badgley, who played Dan Humphrey on the hit series that ran from 2007 to 2012, also shared his thoughts on the tragic death of late co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, who played the villainous Georgina Sparks.Badgely called Trachtenberg’s death at age 39 — which was caused by complications of diabetes mellitus — “really surreal” and “really saddening.”He also described Trachtenberg as someone with a “really pure heart.”“What I remember of her is she was incredibly quick to laugh,” said Badgley. “She was really joyous. We all have our ups and downs, our lights and shadows, but she had this, I mean, she was mature, but she had this childlike, joyous laugh.”Badgley also opened up this week about what a “struggle” it was to date co-star Blake Lively while the pair were portraying on-off couple Dan and Serena on the show.Badgley, who shares a son James, 4, and is expecting twins with wife Domino Kirke, recalled on the April 23 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that he felt consumed at the time by the pressures of being on a top-rated TV show.“When you do a television show, you’re doing it constantly because of the nature of that show,” said Badgley. “You feel like you’re constantly, even though no one may be actually asking you to do this, you feel like you’re constantly needing to prove yourself in some manner. Otherwise, what are you doing?”Badgley also said he believed that after six seasons, some viewers weren’t able to differentiate between him and Dan.“You’re seen as this person, you’re called their name out on the street. You also constantly have to be that person at work, and I was 20, I was 21, 22. So like I didn’t have the emotional maturity to understand, to differentiate myself just in terms of self-worth.”“There is not enough separation, I think, for anybody,” said Badgley.Badgley previously spoke glowingly about Lively in a February 2023 interview with Variety. The actor, who told the publication that he “didn’t want to be in television” during his time on “Gossip Girl,” said, “I was biding time a lot with Dan — I was not invested.”He recalled that it was “fun and fast-paced” time in his life until a “dark undercurrent” emerged later in his 20s.When Variety asked the actor if he’d struggled with substance abuse, he said he never did and gave credit to Lively for abstaining from alcohol herself.“Blake didn’t drink, and I think our relationship in some ways saved me from forcing myself to go down that road,” he said. This story first appeared on TODAY.com. For one physician, AI helps close significant care gaps

Dr. Bernard Schayes, a New York City-based physician in private practice with the Mount Sinai IPA and Northwell Health IPA, struggled with meeting the challenges in adopting value-based care.THE CHALLENGEEnsuring patients stayed up to date with essential screenings – such as colonoscopies, mammograms, annual physicals, diabetic and cholesterol screenings, Pap exams for younger patients, and depression screenings – was a constant challenge.Too often, patients missed these critical checkups due to a lack of reminders, scheduling difficulties or barriers related to social determinants of health."Coordinating this care manually was time-consuming and inefficient," Schayes said. "Our team had to track down patients, send reminders and follow up repeatedly – often with limited success. We also wanted to address SDOH factors, but without a streamlined system, gaps in care persisted – putting patients at risk and making it harder to meet value-based care goals.PROPOSALSchayes turned to AI-powered care coordination technology to help bridge these gaps by automating outreach, improving patient engagement and ensuring more seamless coordination. This technology allowed Schayes and his team to focus more on patient care rather than administrative burdens."The AI technology gathers pertinent historical data, including lab results, X-rays and healthcare encounters," he explained. "It reviews medical records and family history while leveraging predictive analytics to enhance patient outcomes. This approach enables and improves personalized care tailored to each individual while also leaving all final decisions with the doctor."MEETING THE CHALLENGE"The AI technology came in addition to my EHR because it can only read files, not write into them," he said. "AI mined the patient record and extracted useful data sets."Schayes said the best way to explain is with an example."We know if a patient has albumin in their urine, they are at a high risk to develop renal failure years into the future," he explained. "By intervening early, we can prevent dialysis. This applies to cholesterol levels, blood sugar (A1C) and many other data points."It is therefore crucial to find or at least identify those who are at high risk as early as possible," he continued. "This is where AI can be vital as it can find these trends early, much faster than a human can."AI also can read and interpret trends in EKGs with a predictive value to prevent cardiovascular disease much faster and better than a human can if it has clearly defined parameters, he added. In so doing, it can save a health system millions of dollars a year while also enabling doctors to be more proactive without adding to their already heavy workloads, he said.RESULTSFor Schayes, AI has helped close significant care gaps with efficient use of staff resources. This was achieved because AI identified care gaps – upon Schayes' approval – and gave staff the option of texting, e-mail or phone calls for outreach. This resulted in closing care gaps in an efficient, time-productive workflow, he reported.ADVICE FOR OTHERS"AI technology has the potential to improve patient care, remove tedious work for providers, and ultimately improve health outcomes on a population health basis," Schayes stated. "With its help, there will be a convergence between data and predictive analytics, and provider care delivery will improve patient outcomes as a result."My workflow has changed since employing AI," he continued. "I record my patient encounters in real time, with the patient's permission. I have a large microphone patients can see for full transparency. The AI platform records the visit and can ignore non-pertinent issues."It does a very good job of recording positive history, positive physical findings and vital signs, he added."The most important part is that I decide on the final diagnosis," he noted. "AI then generates a complete visit note and is far more accurate at inputting the correct codes, saving hours of tedious typing and entering data."AI puts past data in an easily accessible mode and its predictive analytic capability will only continue to improve," he concluded. "We are just at the beginning of a significant improvement for population health."Follow Bill's HIT coverage on LinkedIn: Bill SiwickiEmail him: [email protected] IT News is a HIMSS Media publication.WATCH NOW: Mount Sinai's new CDIO offers an inside look at her very full plate Enterprise Taxonomy: Value-based careQuality CareAnalyticsAICareData and Information

iPhone 17 Air Now Rumored to Feature 12GB of RAM Like the Pro Models

The rumored ultra-thin "iPhone 17 Air" model will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, according to the latest word from Ming-Chi Kuo.In a blog post today, the well-known Apple supply chain analyst said that the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will all be equipped with 12GB of RAM. He previously only expected the iPhone 17 Pro Max to have 12GB of RAM, so this is good news for customers who will be purchasing the other models.Kuo said even the base-model iPhone 17 might be equipped with 12GB of RAM, but only if supply chain shortages can be overcome. All of the models in the iPhone 16 lineup are equipped with 8GB of RAM, so the jump to 12GB would be a significant increase. Increased RAM can contribute to improved performance for Apple Intelligence and multitasking.Even if the base-model iPhone 17 sticks with 8GB of RAM, Kuo said he expects all models in the iPhone 18 lineup to have 12GB of RAM.Kuo said the increased RAM will primarily benefit Apple suppliers Micron and SK Hynix.Apple should announce the iPhone 17 series in September.Related Roundups: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 ProTag: Ming-Chi KuoThis article, "iPhone 17 Air Now Rumored to Feature 12GB of RAM Like the Pro Models" first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums

Scientists Say Dark Matter May Be Giving Off a Signal

Dark matter, the invisible stuff that scientists have determined makes up 85 percent of the mass in the universe, remains one of the biggest mysteries. For one, it can't be directly observed. The only way we know about its existence are its gravitational effects on stars and galaxies. As detailed in a paper published in the journal Nature, an international team of researchers proposes a new type of detector they liken to a "cosmic car radio," that could one day shed new light on the matter. Such a device would "tune in" to the frequency of axions, hypothetical particles that [...]
