There is an elevated to near-critical fire weather threat Friday for the Diablo and Santa Cruz mountain ranges, the National Weather Service said.Gusty winds and dry afternoon humidity are causing an increased risk of quickly spreading brush fires, the weather service said on social media Friday morning.“Obey local fireworks restrictions and be one less spark,” the weather service posted, along with a host of fire, police, city and county officials warning of the dangers of fireworks.The forecast calls for westerly wind gusts at 30-50 mph in higher terrain, with relative humidity at 15%-45% during the day, the weather service said.
